Nursing Care
The home has been established for many years and enjoys an enviable reputation for nursing care, which is provided for elderly, medical, post-operative and convalescent residents. The accent is on providing a warm and homely environment and nursing staff are carefully selected to ensure the well-being of residents. There is an R.G.N. on the premises at all times.

General Comforts
The park area of the Spa town of Buxton is renowned for its status as a sought after residential area. The grounds of the home are spacious and colourful, and residents are encouraged to enjoy them as much as possible. The rear of the property overlooks the local cricket ground and the nearby park affords easy walking for ambulant residents.

Visitors
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. Residents can entertain visitors in their own room or may prefer to chat over a cup of tea or coffee in our secluded lounges.

Laundry/hairdressing/chiropody
All personal laundry and ironing is carried out on the premises. A hairdresser visits weekly and appointments can be made. If he or she already has a hairdresser who is willing to continue, he or she will be welcome. Alternatively, residents may prefer a member of staff to attend to their hair, and this can also be arranged. Chiropodists visit the home on a regular basis and appointments can be made if required.

General Practitioner/Occupational therapist
Residents will be always able to retain their own GP, where this is not possible, a choice will be offered from the list of the homes’ doctors. There are also weekly occupational therapy visits.

Telephone
There is a telephone available for residents use.

Newspapers and Magazines
Arrangements can be made with local newsagents for residents to have newspapers and magazines delivered for our residents.

Social Activities
The residents will be invited to join in the many social and recreational activities within the home. We arrange sing-alongs, quiz nights, and bingo. All activities are optional and residents may relax in a lounge or the privacy of their own home.
